Beginning April 6th, official grades will be posted for the 4th grading period. These grades will count towards their final grade for the 4th grading period.
Deadline to turn in music assignments for every week is 4pm every Friday. Unless otherwise specified, all assignments are to be emailed to: acarballo2@dadeschools.net.
Student Attendance (K-12) Beginning April 6th, 2020, Official Daily School Attendance will be captured using the Student Portal, and students will be counted in attendance only if they log into the portal. Students need to log in during their regular scheduled school hours.
PLEASE HAVE ALL ASSIGNMENTS CURRENT AND UP TO DATE. INTERIM REPORTS ARE DUE 10AM ON APRIL 30TH. ANY WORK YOU ARE MISSING THAT IS NOT SUBMITTED BY THAT TIME WILL RESULT IN A Z IN THE GRADE BOOK.

2nd grade Music Distance Learning assignment: Week of May 25-29
The work for this week is only for those students who still have assignments that you haven't turned in. If you haven't received an email from me telling you there is nothing else due, you need to look into the grade book and figure out which work is still missing. I will accept work until noon on June 3rd. After that, I must close out the grade book. If you are unsure you still have work to do, look for a Z where the assignments are. That's how you know you are missing work.
If you did receive an email telling you there is nothing else due for me for the rest of the grading period, I wish you a healthy and happy summer!

This week's assignment will be about Careers in Music. That means what kind of jobs you are able to do when you are a musician. In order to receive credit, I need at least 5 answers. Here's two examples: a music teacher or a singer. That's just 2 examples of the types of jobs you can have when you are a musican. Try to think of as many as you can!

Your assignment this week is to think of a song that has helped you during this difficult time. We all know that music can calm our fears and lift up our spirits. Music can make us happy or make us sad. It could be a song like, "Tomorrow" from Annie or "We're All In This Together" from High School Musical or "I Believe That We Will Win" by Pitbull. You choose the song YOU LIKE and tell me in 5 sentences or more why the song you chose is meaningful to you. You can either do the work on a word document or on a piece of paper. Click on that link. It will bring you to a page with choices for websites. Choose BRAINPOP on the left hand side. It should be one of the first few choices. You don't need a login anymore. You get in through your STUDENT portal page. Go to the ARTS AND MUSIC tab. Click on that and then find the MUSICAL GENRES page. Click on that and look for LATIN MUSIC. Watch the short movie about Latin Music with Tim and Moby. After the video, click on the QUIZ and then choose GRADED.
