Mrs. Carballo has surpassed three decades as a Music Educator for the Miami-Dade County Public Schools system and this begins her 14th year teaching
at Bob Graham Education Center. She is very proud of this website. You can access the site 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There is also an
e-mail feature in the event you would like to communicate with her.
Her current afterschool offering is the Glee Club. This singing club is open to everyone in grades 6-8. We meet on Tuesdays from 3-4:15pm in the Middle School Band room. In order to

We are currently in the planning stages of a performance trip to Orlando sometime in May, 2019. We are also planning performances at Main Street during the Holidays.
Both of these are unique opportunities for your child to showcase
their amazing musical talents. Please have your child listen to the morning announcements as to when they can begin the registration process and when the Glee club will begin!
In October 2015, she presented two sessions at the National Music Convention in Nashville, Tennessee. Her sessions were entitled, "Braille Music
is For Everyone". She co-authored a Braille Music course online course currently being offered through the Carroll Center and sponsored by the Miami Lighthouse
for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Additionally, she co-authored a research paper entitled, "A New Synthesis of Sound and Tactile Music Code Instruction:
Implementation Issues of a Pilot Online Braille Music Curriculum," which has been accepted for publication in the Journal of Visual Impairment and Blindness.
Her extensive professional musical background includes vocal solo and choral work for both Churches and Synagogues in the South Florida area. She was the
Vocal and Music Instructor for the Better Chance Music Production Program at the Miami Lighthouse for the Blind. She was the Director and Conductor of the
Children's Choir for the Miami Music Project.
Audrey has been selected three times to be an Assessor for the National Board of Professional Teaching Standards. She had the honor of being the
Co-Conductor and Assistant Director of the City of Miami City Kids Choir from 2007 to 2010. She has worked with the Miami Music Project as their
Educational liaison and was the author of their curriculum. Additionally, she was the Conductor of the Children's Choir with the El Sistema program of the
Miami Music Project.As the Vocal Instructor of the Miami Lighthouse for the Blind's Better Chance Music Production Program, she had the unique opportunity
to work with sighted,Vision Impaired and Blind students who work together in a musical setting while learning job career readiness skills as music producers.
She also spearheaded the Broadcast Journalism project with the Miami Lighthouse for the Blind and Visually Impaired. This project enabled her to
work with sighted, visually impaired and blind students as they seek jobs in the field of radio and telecommunications.
In addition to her demanding professional schedule, she teaches private piano and voice lessons.
Mrs. Carballo is very grateful to the Bob Graham Education Center PTSA for their generous support. Mrs. Carballo is looking forward to another exciting and
productive year at Bob Graham Education Center.
